Who Are We?
We're a family-owned business in small-town USA. That's us (Tim and Tracey) on an anniversary trip to Canada. Our goals are:
- put quality products into the marketplace
- keep manufacturing here in the USA
- treat others as we would like to be treated
- have a healthy life-work balance
- have fun while building something we can be proud of (and yes, hopefully pass on to our children)
Although our first and "true" love is motorcycling, we have a fondness for most adrenaline-producing activities, including skiing (water and snow), white-water rafting, stock car racing, and - in Tracey's case - flying.
We don’t just sell our products – we use ‘em!
We own two patents (and a third one pending) and we're committed to manufacturing here in the US. You won't find better quality or serviceanywhere! But don't take our word for it - read our Customer Comments! We know you'll love our products, but we stand behind them if you don't – we'll take them back no questions asked (see our FAQ page for details).
At right: Tracey and her dad (who's responsible for getting Tracey into motorcycling in the first place) with Evelyn (at 15 months) and Nathan (at 5) in his child safety harness.

Tracey "I was driving a motorcycle before I could drive a car" Cramer-Kelly
Ride: 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. "I like something about every motorcycle brand on the market - I could have our garage full of 'em," Tracey says. Between work and children (and her novel-writing career, see
Last Chance Rescue), she doesn't get as much riding in as she'd like, but that's OK...for now!
Tim Kelly
Ride: 2001 Honda Shadow 1100 Spirit. "Yes, that's Tim on the bike in February," Tracey says. "Seems like we're always moving bikes around in the winter!" Tim's "real job" is supporting computers at a regional energy provider. But he's constantly being pulled in to help out - if not with the computers, with his muscles or his ability to fix just about anything!
Nathan Kelly (now 7)
Ride: 2002 Ural Tourist sidecar (which has, regrettably, been sold). Perhaps dirt biking will be in the cards soon (although it's toss-up between motorcycles and racecars)! "Nathan takes short rides with us," Tracey says. "It's so great to share something we enjoy so much with our kids; I think I have more fun than he does!"
Evelyn Kelly (The REAL Boss), age 2
Ride: Big Wheels. Evelyn seems to vacillate - one day it's "motorcycle noisy" and the next she acts like she owns it! "She'll be our Biker Chick, I think," Tracey says.

Machinists and Sewers Extraordinaire
Where would we be without the people who make our parts? Yes, we manufacture here in the USA, and that means TOP QUALITY. Special thanks to Bob, Jennifer, Mike and the machining crew, as well as Kevin, Shelley and the sewing crew!

Thank you, "Rally Masters"!

In addition to Tracey, you might see some of these faces at the shows. On the right: Amy, Paul, Tim. On the left: Barb and Kat.
Carol Tower, Cassie Cramer and Jenny Penfield, Administrative
These gals do it all – packaging and assembly, order processing,
and answering phones (even babysitting, as you can see!). "I
couldn’t do it without the help and support of these folks," Tracey
says.

Company History
Leader Motorcycle was founded in 1995 as
Desert Dawgs (also the name of the company’s flagship product line of
lower engine guards). RoadRunners, Cell Caddies and Cosmos followed in 2001 and
2002. The Cell Caddy was refined and renamed eCaddy in 2005. Leader Motorcycle holds two patents (#D438,996S and #D449,814S) and continues to build and expand the designs around these patents. Leader MotorSports Accessories (dba Leader Motorcycle Accessories) is a Minnesota corporation owned by woman rider Tracey Cramer and her husband Tim Kelly.
In October 2004, Leader Motorcycle moved into expanded office space (special thanks to John B, Matt K and Tim)! To the left is the packaging and assembly area, and below is the "command center" (i.e., Tracey's desk) just after we moved in. This is probably the cleanest and most organized it will EVER look!
In October 2006, the company expanded its offerings to the ATV and boating markets.
Desert Dawgs is a
registered trademark of Leader MotorSports Accessories. RoadRunner, Cell Caddy, Cosmos
Convertibles, and eCaddy are trademarks of Leader MotorSports Accessories.
