Who Are We?

We're a family-owned business in small-town USA. That's us (Tim and Tracey) on an anniversary trip to Canada. Our goals are:

  • put quality products into the marketplace
  • keep manufacturing here in the USA
  • treat others as we would like to be treated
  • have a healthy life-work balance
  • have fun while building something we can be proud of (and yes, hopefully pass on to our children)

Leader Motorcycle has two divisions: Our Gadgets Division specializes in mounting GPS, phone, iPod/MP3, radio, camera, even clocks and drink holders. Our Cold-Weather division manufactures the Desert Dawgs rain guards, Desert Digits Wind Deflectors and other “bike gear” that keeps riders warm and dry.

We don’t just sell our products – we ride with ‘em! We know you'll love our products, but we stand behind them if you don't – we'll take them back no questions asked. You won't find better quality or service anywhere!

The Leader Team

Tracey "I was driving a motorcycle before I could drive a car" Cramer Ride: 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. "I like something about every motorcycle brand on the market - I could have our garage full of 'em," Tracey says. Between work and children (and her writing/music career), she doesn't get as much riding in as she'd like, but that's OK...for now!

Tim Kelly Ride: 2010 Honda VT1300 Interstate. Tim's "real job" is supporting computers at a regional energy provider. But he's constantly being pulled in to help out - if not with the computers, with his muscles or his ability to fix just about anything! Here he is on the day we brought the VT1300 home for the first time.

Lynne Doherty Lynne is our resident office afficionado - packaging and assembly, order processing, and answering phones. She rides her own ATV, but when it comes to motorcycles, she's usually passenger on her boyfriend's Harley Deuce. (hmm, we'll have to work on that!)

Nathan Kelly (now 10) Ride: 2002 Ural Tourist sidecar (which has, regrettably, been sold) and scooter. Perhaps dirt biking will be in the cards soon (although it's toss-up between motorcycles and racecars)! "Nathan especially likes to ride when there is food involved," Tracey laughs. "It's so great to share something we enjoy so much with our kids; I think I have more fun than they do!"

Evelyn Kelly (The REAL Boss), age 5 Ride: Big Wheels. Evelyn took her first ride on mom's motorcycle in the fall of 2011. Her only complaint? The wind in her eyes (problem now solved!). "She'll be our Biker Chick, I think," Tracey says.

Rally Masters If you visit us at shows you might see me (Tracey) or Lynne, but it's just as likely you'll get to talk to Jenny and Bryan (who work as a team). In CA you might even see Monique!

Machinists and Sewers Extraordinaire Where would we be without the people who make our parts? Yes, we manufacture here in the USA, and that means TOP QUALITY. Special thanks to Gordy, Mike, Jen and the machining crew as well as Kevin, Michael, Gretchan and the sewing crew!
