Mounting Magellan GPS on a motorcycle IS doable – and we can help! Follow the steps below to find out if the eCaddy Deluxe will work for you! STEP 1: CHECK THE LIST Magellan Maestro 3200 and 4200 series GPS - Use the eCaddy Deluxe WITH a "cradle." We have the cradles (see ordering page)! Other Magellan Maestro series GPS - If your unit has the "slots" on the back (see photo at right), purchase the eCaddy Deluxe and ADD the Magellan "Adapter Plate" (from the dropdown menu). If you have a cradle with the 4-hole "AMPs" or diamond-shaped "RAM" pattern, use the eCaddy Deluxe (see NOTE in red below). Magellan RoadMate series GPS - If your unit has the "slots" on the back (see photo at right), purchase the eCaddy Deluxe and ADD the Magellan "Adapter Plate" (from the dropdown menu). Magellan Triton GPS - Use the eCaddy Deluxe WITH RAM "cradle" (P/N HOLMA9 and HOLMA10 at www.gpszone.com). NOTE: Many GPS units have the 4-hole "AMPS" pattern or diamond-shaped "RAM" pattern right on their backside. (YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE THE SUCTION CUP.) If so, all you need is the eCaddy Deluxe. Other units require the purchase of a “cradle.” If the cradle has either pattern on it, you can use the eCaddy Deluxe! STEP 2: VIEW THE VIDEO (or SLIDE SHOW) * Click here to view "How to Use the eCaddy Motorcycle GPS Mount (includes UltraTilt)" as a Windows Media file For slide shows: * click here for GPS with UltraTilt * click here for GPS WITHOUT UltraTilt STEP 3: WHERE TO MOUNT YOUR MAGELLAN GPS On a Round Bar (usually a handlebar, but could be an engine guard bar or other) On the Harley-Davidson Controls On the Gold Wing Controls On a flat surface STEP 3: DECIDE IF YOU WANT ULTRATILT UltraTilt is an additional (optional) part that allows you to angle the GPS unit in ANY direction you choose – for better visibility or to reduce sun glare. STEP 4: OBTAIN A CRADLE (if required) To mount most Magellan GPS units on a motorcycle, you need a cradle – a holder that the GPS snaps into. These cradles are each specific to the model of GPS you have. We have some of the cradles in stock (they are listed in a drop-down menu during the ordering process). What the Magellan "Slots" look like: this is the Magellan "Adapter Plate" (goes between the eCaddy Deluxe and Magellan GPS).
